O’FALLON, Ill. -- Grant Norton stands 6-foot-8. Based on that fact alone, he has his share of options. UCF has offered the massive offensive lineman. As has Wyoming, Toledo, Ball State and others. His long frame has ensures that he’s rarely overlooked.

Norton knows there may be more offers in store as he piles on weight and becomes a more polished player. Still, that’s not holding him back from evaluating the options he has now.

Asked to name a favorite, Norton dips his toe in the water.

“I like Wyoming a lot right now, but I feel like Iowa and TCU are coming,” he said. “It’s Wyoming right now.”

The reasons behind the Cowboys standing at the top of his list are simple enough. Small conference school or not, Wyoming is a program with a repatriation.

“With Wyoming, I love Coach [Craig] Bohl and his philosophy of developing players,” Norton said. “I mean, look, I’m not a 300-pound player right now. I’m going to get there and I think he can help.”

As high as Norton is on the Cowboys, his exploration will continue. He hopes to earn offers from Power Five Conference programs and has hatched a plan to do so. It’s why Norton intends to hit the road in the near future.

“I’m going to visit Iowa on June 2 for an unofficial,” Norton said. “Then, I’m going to make a visit down to TCU, too. I think both are close.”

Norton, who has a big enough frame to add significant weight, attends Missouri’s Camdenton High School. He was recently measured at 6-foot-8, 255 pounds.

RIVALS REACTION: Norton would likely choose Wyoming if Signing Day were today, but Iowa and TCU are real threats here. If he leaves the campuses of both major programs without scholarship offers, he’s likely to commit to the Cowboys.
