WVU the latest to offer McKivitz

Belmont (Ohio) Union offensive tackle Colton McKivitz has seen his offer total rise to five after West Virginia joined his list last week.
"I was talking with Coach [Ron] Crook and he said he needed my transcripts," McKivitz said. "I got those to him, he called my head coach and told him they were going to offer. The next day Coach Crook confirmed it with me. I was very ecstatic about it and honored."

The 6-foot-7, 265-pound McKivitz already has a base of knowledge about West Virginia after multiple visits to Morgantown in the last year
"I actually went to two games there last year and their summer camp, so I knew a little bit about their facilities and campus," McKivitz said. "Definitely the fans and the tradition - that is a big thing for me with them."
McKivitz plans to follow up the offer with another visit to West Virginia on April 8 to attend a spring practice. He also has visits planned this coming weekend to Akron and Bowling Green.
Prior to the West Virginia offer, McKivitz had claimed offers from Akron, Kent State, Marshall and Toledo. Additional schools are showing interest in the Eastern Ohio prospect.
"I am actually talking to Kentucky and we are working on a date - I think the 18th - for a visit down there," McKivitz said.
