WVU, Syracuse offer Ohio DE

West Virginia and Syracuse are now the two most recent schools to verbally offer one of Ohio's top defensive line prospects.
Alex Pace, a 6-foot-2, 255-pound defensive end from Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville Academic Campus, had received offers from Illinois and most of the schools in the MAC heading into this past week.

Now his offer list is even more impressive as two schools from the Big East have jumped into the mix.
"I got (an offer from) West Virginia on Saturday after the (Columbus) Nike Camp and then I got Syracuse just the other day," Pace explained.
Pace said he's interested in both schools though he hasn't visited either.
"I know a little bit about Syracuse just because it's in New York," he said. "I've seen West Virginia a little bit. I'm definitely interested in both of them. I want to find out more."
He went on to say that he would love to visit both schools.
That won't be all his does this summer.
"One of my main goals is to make it out to Notre Dame's camp," Pace continued. "There and Mississippi State's camp too. Those are two other places I really want to go."
Pace concluded by saying he doesn't have any favorites at this time.
