WVU picks up three-star OL
West Virginia took another step towards filling out their recruiting class last night with the commitment of a three-star offensive tackle from the Keystone State.
Nick Kindler, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound lineman from Camp Hill (Pa.) Trinity, picked the Mountaineers over offers from Boston College, UConn, Illinois, Maryland, Rutgers and Virginia, among others.

"I called the coaches last night and told them," Kindler explained. "They were pretty happy about it. They said they were looking for another offensive lineman and they think I can be a contributor in the next couple of years. They think I can help out.
"They went through a pretty impressive list of commits they have already."
Who did his decision come down to?
"It was really between Illinois, Boston College and West Virginia," he explained. "I ended up choosing West Virginia because I felt comfortable at the school. It's not that I didn't feel comfortable with the others, I just really liked West Virginia.
"It's relatively close to my house -- closer than Boston College and Illinois, at least. My family is going to be traveling to the games. I just felt comfortable with the coaches and players. I also have a couple of cousins that go there. You throw all that together and it's a pretty great fit for me."
The West Virginia coaches have not talked much about the possibility of Kindler playing right away, but he is confident he can be a big help at some point down the road.
"I haven't really talked to them much about playing time," he said. "They have a pretty experienced line this year with a couple of seniors and a couple of guys that could go to the NFL. But there will definitely be opportunities to step up and play maybe my first year or after my redshirt year.
"They project me as a tackle and they're real excited."
Some prospects make their decision and continue to look around, eventually taking visits to other schools. Don't expect Kindler to do that.
"This is solid," he said emphatically. "I felt like the coaches were pretty honest with me and they kept me in the look with everything as far as other guys committing. I don't want to decommit and do all that kind of stuff. I want to be loyal to them."
Kindler is rated the No. 22 prospect in Pennsylvania and the No. 65 offensive tackle in the nation, according to Rivals.com.
