WVU back in for Gwaltney

They say it's not over until it's over. That's the case when it comes to West Virginia and Long Island (N.Y.) North Babylon running back Jason Gwaltney. Less than a week after being eliminated from the race for the star running back, West Virginia is back in the picture.
"Coach Rod (Rich Rodriguez) and I had a long talk the other day and he reminded me of a few of the reasons I committed in the first place," said the 6-foot-0, 234-pounder. "West Virginia is a good school and there are a lot of positives there, but I also like Ohio State and Southern Cal a lot. I'd say Ohio State and Southern Cal are still my leaders, but West Virginia isn't out any more."

The five-star tailback is hoping that this upcoming week goes fast.
"I just want Signing Day to come," he said. "The process has been fun, but it's also been a lot of stress and confusion. It'll all be over soon enough though, I am looking forward to it."
Gwaltney has USC head coach Pete Carroll coming to his house on Tuesday, coach Jim Tressel from Ohio State coming on Wednesday and a slew of West Virginia coaches coming on Thursday.
"It'll be another busy week," he said. "Hopefully I'll know where I'm going for sure by the end of the week."
Gwaltney is committing live on ESPNews on Tuesday, Feb. 1 from the ESPN SportsZone in New York City.
