WV junior QB holds two offers

Junior quarterback Charlie Russell has already received a couple scholarship offers. Who has the 6-foot-3, 215-pounder out of Morgantown, W.V. received offers from and does he have any early favorites?
"He's got scholarships from Kentucky and West Virginia," said Morgantown head coach John Bowers. "He's getting other letters from a lot of other big schools like Florida State, Georgia Tech and Penn State. He hasn't expressed interest in any particular schools yet, although I think he kind of likes Nebraska, Kentucky, Connecticut and West Virginia."

In the last two years, Russell has proven to be a very successful quarterback for Morgantown.
"He's 24-0 as a starter for us in two years. His total record has been 35-2," he said. "He's a tremendous talent who is phenomenal at throwing the ball. He's very heady and understands the game with his great football IQ. He knows how to check plays at the line and he very rarely stays in a bad play.
"He is also a great student with a 3.9 GPA. He is the exact kind of kid you want associated with your program and is just great to be around."
As a sophomore, Russell threw for 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns. Last season he accounted for 1,500 yards passing, 14 touchdown passes and two rushing touchdowns.
