Tanner Wrisley has an offer from San Diego but the Carlsbad, Calif., pro-style quarterback could be picking up more interest soon and one school in particular stands out to the 6-foot-4, 200-pound prospect.
Harvard has been in close contact with Wrisley, who said it would be tough to turn down the Ivy League program if it were to get even more involved.
"I'm closest with Harvard right now other than San Diego which has already offered me," Wrisley said.
"A bunch of colleges have asked me to send out my game film to them after the season starts. Harvard would be really tough to beat."
Wrisley said he has been mainly talking with Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern and Wake Forest and camped at Stanford, San Diego State and San Diego this summer. He worked out for some of those schools.
Stanford is also one of Wrisley's favorite programs but the Cardinal coaching staff has not offered and has shown only limited interest thus far.
Harvard remains one of the top favorites and Wrisley said he's looking for that perfect combination of great academics coupled with a good football program. Playing in the Ivy League would definitely be a good situation, he said.
"Stanford is my favorite college, that's the place I always wanted to go to ever since I was a little kid but Harvard is way on the top, too," Wrisley said.
"I really want to go to a school with a good football program and really good academics as well. That's what I'm looking for."
