Marlin, Texas safety D'Nerian Wrighter has kept busy this summer preparing for his final season of high school football.
“This summer has been real good,” the 6-foot-1, 205-pound Wrighter said. “I have been around here all summer. I’ve been lifting, running and studying film. Just getting ready for this fall’s schedule.”

Several schools are keeping an eye on the Marlin schedule as well in hopes of squeezing in a campus visit to their school.
“I’ve got quite a few schools that are interested,” he said. “But, I really don’t have one that is at the top of the list as a favorite.”
If the three-star rated Wrighter visits the schools he hopes to he will find himself touring Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Florida and Arkansas.
“They’ve been some of the standouts recruiting me,” he said. “I don’t have any visits set up yet. But, those are the schools I will try and get something lined up with.”
Wrighter does not plan on making a decision until the end of the 2003 season.
“I want to make the best decision for me I can,” he said. “I think that means I should take my visits later and then decide. I want to focus on football this fall and then make my choice.”
