Wright working the phone lines

When you are considered by most to be the top defensive tackle in the country, you tend to have a lot of phone calls in September. And Rodrique Wright of Alief (Texas) Hastings has had about all he can take.
"Yeah, it's definitely been ringing," Wright said. "It never stops, but I don't mind talking to reporters since it's different. But the main schools that call that I am really listening to are Texas, Oklahoma, LSU and Texas A&M."

In fact, the 6-foot-5, 320-pound five-star just got off the phone with Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. But that was just one of about 50 calls that he's received already in the first two weeks of September.
"Texas still has a slight lead on Oklahoma and then LSU and Texas A&M are right behind those two," he said.
"The lead is nothing that can't be overcome, though. But I've been pretty high on Texas for a while now, and I know they have a good thing going on up there."
Wright said he plans to wait until after the year to start taking visits and will take those four and might think about taking a fifth but doesn't know whom it would be to. He's mentioned Kansas State several times as a potential school he'd visit.
