Wright receiving SEC interest

Cameron (Texas) Yoe 2014 linebacker Somari Wright has made a name for himself around central Texas as a sideline-to-sideline playmaker. At 6-1, 205 pounds he tallied over 150 tackles as a sophomore, and it was easy to see he enjoys each and every hit.
The standout sophomore season brought interest from the likes of Baylor, SMU, and TCU, but Wright was not satisfied and knew he had more to give. Through five games Wright and the Yoemen are 5-0, and Wright feels pretty good about the season.

"We have a big game against Lago Vista," Wright said. "We've been having some hard days of practice and are getting work done. Our season has been going pretty good though. We have the defense clicking OK now.
"My play, it's good. I've gotten a whole lot better at reading my keys. I think I'm doing pretty well."
The college interest continues, and a new out of state school has began to really show their interest.
"I got letters from LSU that they've noticed me on and off the field and they're staying updated on my games and are watching me," Wright said.
In fact, the defensive standout says LSU is currently showing the most interest at this point, and the interest is paying off for the Tigers.
"I'm still on Baylor and I'm on LSU because those two are really on my mind right now," Wright said listing his top schools. "Texas could be. I'd say Baylor, LSU, and then Texas."
He is focused on his football season and plans to take the SAT in late October. When it comes to unofficial visits, he says he has yet to make any but will probably take a few in the near future.
"I plan to do that," Wright said. "I think I'm going to go to one of A&M's games and maybe a Longhorn game."
