WR Wilkins talks Illini camp

Decatur (Ill.) MacArthur senior wide receiver prospect Marques Wilkins (6-foot-1, 192 pounds) was one of a handful of highly ranked in-state prospects who made a one-day camp visit to the University of Illinois on Thursday. Wilkins, who's ranked as the #6 prospect in Illinois according to Rivals.com, talks about his Illini camp experience and more in this latest recruiting update.
"I decided to head down to Illinois for a one-day camp yesterday," Wilkins said. "I knew that Isiah (Williams), Chris (James) and Demetrius (Jones) were going, so I decided to meet up with them at the camp."

Wilkins talked about his one day camp experience in Champaign.
"It was a really good day overall. I tested pretty well I thought, and I was real happy with my vertical. I jumped a 38 inch vertical at the camp, and I've been working hard to improve that this summer. Illinois had a smaller group of kids for this camp, which allowed me a chance to work closely with all of the coaches. It was good to get a chance to work out with those other guys at the camp."
Wilkins is calling the Illini one of his early leaders.
"Illinois is definitely one of my Top 3 right now. I'd say it's Illinois, Purdue and Michigan State as my favorites. I'm not ready just yet to make my college choice known and I'm planning to check out a few more schools before I make my decision."
Wilkins is looking at checking out a few more schools this summer over the next couple of weeks.
"I'm going to either camp or make unofficial visits to Notre Dame, Michigan State and Purdue. I want to check out those schools in person this summer before I make my final college choice."
Wilkins is also looking forward to his upcoming senior season.
"I have a feeling that we'll be pretty good this year. Decatur Mac football is always worth the price of admission, but I know that the guys are working hard this summer to get ready for the season. We started our team camp and it's going pretty well."
