WR Wilkins adds another Big Ten offer

Decatur (Ill.) MacArthur junior wide receiver prospect Marques Wilkins (6-foot-1, 192 pounds) has added his fourth Big Ten conference scholarship offer on Monday, as the Michigan State Spartans have offered Wilkins.
"I received an offer today (Monday) from Michigan State," Wilkins said. "Coach (Dave) Baldwin from Michigan State was in school on Monday and told my coaches that they were offering me a scholarship. They left the paperwork in my coach's office."

Wilkins is excited about landing his latest offer from the Spartans.
"I know that Michigan State has a really strong offense, and they aren't afraid to throw the ball. I also know that they are looking for receivers and I think they are graduating 4-5 senior receivers from this next class. I would love to get a chance to earn early playing time at my final school choice, and it looks like I could have a good chance at Michigan State."
Wilkins has yet to check out East Lansing in person, but Wilkins hopes to change that soon.
"I've never been to East Lansing, but I'm definitely going to check out what they have to offer. I might take an unofficial visit later this summer, or I might go to a one-day camp at Michigan State."
Wilkins has seen his recruiting stock and overall recruiting interest on an upswing this spring, yet Wilkins also isn't in any hurry to make his final college choice.
"It's just too early for me to even think about favorites at this point. I'm really fortunate to have these early offers. I really feel that the schools that have offered me an early scholarship will have an advantage. I'm really big about loyalty, and if schools show me that loyalty early it's a factor. I'm really going to look at schools harder once I finish this school year."
