WR Wiggins sitting on one offer

Wide receiver Kendrick Wiggins out of Durham (N.C.) Southern Durham holds one offer. The 5-foot-11, 181-pounder recently had a strong showing at the Shrine Bowl combine which should result in plenty more interest.
"I did pretty well at the combine," he said. "I had 10 reps at 185, I ran a 4.38 and a 4.1 shuttle. I also had a 32 inch vertical," he said. "I was a bit surprised by my 40 time. I hadn't tested it in awhile."

The solid day hasn't resulted in much more interest quite yet.
"I have an offer from East Carolina," he said. "Wake Forest is starting to pick up. Those are the main two schools in contact with me.
"I do plan to attend some one day camps this summer at Clemson, Wake Forest, ECU, Tennessee and Vanderbilt."
On Friday Wiggins will attend the Nike Camp in Chapel Hill.
Things are going good, Shrine bowl combine: I did pretty well actually, 10 reps 185, 4.38 40, 4.10 shuttle, vertical 32. Surprised: I was trying to do well, surprise by 40 time, not tested in awhile, first time in awhile.
The Carolina prospect maintains he is keeping all of his options open at this time.
"I've been down to ECU and Wake a couple times and it's nice, but I'm not really favoring anyone," he said. "Mostly, I'm looking for academics. They can carry me further than the football field. I also will check out the atmosphere of the students, the support and location matters some too. I don't want it to be too hard for my parents to come and see me."
