WR to jump on Sooner Schooner

Carrollton (Texas) Creekview wide receiver Travis Wilson is close to committing to Oklahoma. The Sooners, his life-long favorite, offered him a scholarship on Monday. But is he close enough to do it today, tomorrow or even sooner?
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound senior says he is on the verge of pledging to the Sooners.

However, Wilson says that that is probably going to have to wait until next week. That’s because he is slated to make his official visit to Texas A&M this weekend.
“As of right now, I’m still planning on going down there (to College Station),” Wilson explained on Wednesday night. “But Oklahoma’s been my favorite for so long and I just think I fit in right with their offense so much.”
While Wilson showers praise on the Sooners, he also mentions his burgeoning interest in the Aggies.
“I didn’t really start out liking Texas A&M or anything. But they’ve just sort of grown on me. Like Coach Spurrier (receivers’ coach at Oklahoma), the coaches at A&M are really good people to get along with.”
The Sooners and Aggies have virtually eliminated their competition for Wilson’s signature. Wilson also has scholarship offers from Colorado, Arkansas and Wisconsin among others.
“I’m pretty high on OU,” he said. “We’ll see about the visit this weekend, but I’m thinking that I may commit sometime next week.”
