WR to be in Columbia this weekend

Irmo, S.C., wide receiver Martin Frierson has not received the amount of publicity as some of the other top players in the Palmetto State, but he has picked up two nice offers and is certainly a prospect to keep an eye on.
“I have gotten calls so far from Kentucky, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt and Notre Dame,” Frierson said. “I don’t have any new offers, still just Vanderbilt and Notre Dame right now. NC State is a school that has been showing me a lot of interest lately.”

Frierson attended the NIKE camp in Atlanta where he checked in at 6-foot-1.5 and 179 pounds. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.47 seconds, the shuttle in 4.03 seconds and had a 30.0-inch vertical jump.
“I had planned on going to the Vanderbilt-South Carolina game this weekend,” Frierson said. “I couldn’t make it though because I ended up having to work. This weekend I am going to be going to the South Carolina-Georgia game. I think that is going to be a really good game.”
As a junior Frierson caught 23 passes for 550 yards and three touchdowns. In addition to the NIKE camp, he has attended camps at Miami, Georgia, Clemson and Auburn this summer.
“My list is still pretty much the same as in the past, except I think I would add NC State,” Frierson said. “I am probably going to take all of my visits. I want to wait a couple of months and see who all offers and take my visits and decide before Christmas.”
