WR Simmons back on the market

Wide receiver Freddie Simmons' decommitment from Rutgers was almost as sudden as his commitment. The Bethlehem (Pa.) Bethlehem Catholic star is now looking for the place he feels is right for him.
"I just felt like I didn't really give myself an a chance to explore my options to the full extent," said the 6-foot-3, 180-pound Simmons. "I didn't take any official visits before I committed. I just visited with they played Wisconsin and drove around the campus. I didn't really feel like it was where I wanted to be at for the next four years. I told coach Flood that."

Simmons has a number of schools in mind that he thinks could be the right spot for him.
"I'm considering Washington State, Syracuse, Wake Forest, Virginia, UCF, San Diego State and Penn State," he said. "I don't really have any top five or anything like that. I'm going to choose my visits soon when I know which schools will be offering. I've been in touch with all of these schools since I committed."
So far Simmons has two official visits set with more on the way.
"I'll be visiting San Diego State on January 23 and Wake Forest on January 16. Syracuse might be in December. Virginia might be in January."
Simmons led Bethlehem Catholic to 12 wins this season.
