Chantilly (Va.) Westfield wide receiver Eddie Royal has his second official visit set.
"I'm going to Virginia Tech on Jan. 23," said the 5-foot-11, 175-pounder. "It's not final yet, but that's the date I would like to go and the date they want me there."
Royal, who was the MVP of the NIKE Camp held at Virginia Tech this past Spring, has an official visit set with Tennessee for Dec. 12. He's also looking to set up visits with Maryland, Syracuse and Marshall. Right now his two favorites are the Vols and Hokies.
"Tennessee is a great program with a tradition of producing top players," he said. "Virginia Tech is a top 5 program and they already have a commitment from my quarterback Sean Glennon. Sean and I have talked about how cool it would be to play together in college."
So far this season, Royal has 16 receptions for 323 yards and four touchdowns to go along with four carries for 75 yards and another score. He also has two punt return touchdowns and one touchdown on a kick return. He'll decide late in the process, likely after his Tech visit.
