WR Sele Still Waiting

Groton (Ma.) Lawrence Academy speedster Taylor Sele was expected to make his decision over a week ago. However, on an unofficial visit to Boston College, Sele decided not to pull the trigger on a verbal. That doesn’t mean it won’t happen soon enough.
“My parents really liked it a lot,” said Sele of his visit. “We just decided we wanted to avoid making a decision on the campus so that there wouldn’t be any influence and we could make a smart choice.”

Sele, a 6-foot, 190-pound athlete with 4.3-second speed in the 40-yard dash who originally hails from New York, is choosing between Boston College, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Syracuse. The latter two schools have recently become involved with Sele.
“I’m getting a lot of mail from Wisconsin and Syracuse has turned it up a bit as well,” he said. “I’m still about 85% sure I’ll choose BC, but I want to wait a bit and make sure it’s right.”
Sele wants to decide by the time his football season starts. He heads back to Lawrence Academy in early September and his football season begins on September 11th.
“I hope to decide by then,” he said. “I could decide any day, but more likely I’ll wait until September. Like I said, BC is a great fit academically and athletically and it’s also close enough for my parents to see me play. Choosing a school is like a marriage and I want to make sure I choose the right one. I don’t want a divorce.”
