WR Salomon enjoyed summer trips

Rising sophomore wide receiver Darnell Salomon returned home to South Florida over the weekend after attending summer camps at Alabama, Florida State, and LSU.
The LSU visit could not have gone any better for the 6-foot-3 pass-catcher. Salomon said, "The coaches are great over there. They teach everyone and we all got reps. It was my first offer and it felt great."

Although he left the FSU camp without an offer he is hoping one comes his way down the road. He said the Alabama camp was the most competitive he has seen.
He lists Florida as his dream offer after watching Tim Tebow have success for the Gators. Salomon wants to hear from Mississippi State and Texas A&M in the near future.
Despite growing up in Miami he doesn't really follow the Hurricanes. During his trip to LSU he got a chance to meet head coach Les Miles and former four-star wide receiver Avery Johnson.
His favorite NFL receiver is Detroit Lions All-Pro Calvin Johnson. "Well my dad is 6-foot-4, 200-pounds and I'm supposed to be that height. So he was always my favorite," stated Salomon.
Last season, he hauled in 30 passes for 469 yards and three touchdowns setting a school record for receiving yards and receptions as a freshman.
Since he is still two and a half years away from signing his letter of intent for the class of 2016 he is a no rush to name an early leader.
