WR Russell clarifies status
Three-star wide receiver Alonzo Russell out of New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy made his decision last week. The 6-foot-4, 188-pounder committed to Toledo, but claims he is still open.
"I verballed to Toledo sometime last week," he said. "They are an up and coming program and they are winning some games. I like their coaching and I like the offense."

Despite that, Russell claims he is taking more visits.
"I'm talking to Illinois, but I'm not sure about a visit there yet," he said. "I am still planning to visit Iowa on January 14th."
Russell posted 27 receptions for 353-yards and six touchdowns in prep school this season.
