WR racking up big yards

One of the best players in the state of South Carolina has done nothing to disappoint this season. Gaffney, S.C., receiver Sidney Rice, a three-star prospect, has racked up 66 catches for 1,155 yards and 11 touchdowns this year.
It’s those types of stats that have him and his teammates in the third round of the state playoffs.

“We’re in upper state,” he said. “I had a really good game this weekend. I had nine catches for 150 yards and two touchdowns. I think you all got me ranked too low.”
He’s right.
Rice, who has been a long time South Carolina lean, claims he’s now wide open in the recruiting process, especially after watching the Gamecocks getting pummeled by in-state rival Clemson this weekend.
“I thought Clemson would win,” he said. “But I didn’t think it would be that big of a win. I was really surprised.”
Rice said with his team winning this weekend, it means he won’t take an official visit to Pittsburgh this upcoming weekend. He’s also set for December 5 visit to Syracuse, but that visit likely won’t happen if his team continues to win.
“I’m going to re-schedule,” he said. “That’s the plan. I’m also looking at Florida and Tennessee is still calling me.”
All but Florida have offered Rice a scholarship at this point.
