WR Phillips refocusing after RCS

On April 27, Cameron Phillips was one of the many talented players that participated in the Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour at Deep Run High School in Richmond (Va.). His performance there earned him honors as one of the top offensive players at the camp.
"I think the camp went really well and I think I did really well," said the 6-foot-, 178-pound Phillips. "I just came out of basketball season and hadn't had a chance to work out on the field too much but I felt good out there."

Recruitment had slowed for Phillips while he was playing basketball but now that the season is over, the wide receiver from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha can get back to focusing on his recruitment.
"Right now I'm getting a lot of invites for spring games," he said. "I've been trying to get up to Penn State with my teammate (and Penn State running back commit) Mark Allen.
"Rutgers asked me to go to their spring game," Phillips said. "Penn State, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Wisconsin and Georgia Tech have all asked me to go to their spring games.
"I think some of them have passed," he said. "If they haven't passed yet then I'll be doing my best to get there for the game."
Schools are now starting to refocus on Phillips and things are starting to happen very quickly.
"Really I don't know which school will offer next," said Phillips. "I know Virginia is starting to keep in contact with me and I've been hearing from South Carolina. Virginia and Penn State are showing the most love right now."
Phillips was No. 13 on the top offensive performers of the Richmond Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour.
