WR Phillips picks up new offers

Shakim Phillips is one of the hottest junior prospects in New Jersey and it doesn't appear as though his stock is going to quit rising any time soon.
The 6-foot-2, 191-pound wide receiver from Wayne (N.J.) De Paul Catholic recently picked up two new offers. Who jumped into the mix?

"Well I got an offer from Arizona in the mail a little while back," Phillips recalled. "I don't remember what the date was but I've had it for a little while. Then on Friday I got an offer in the mail from Vanderbilt.
"I haven't talked to anybody from there yet but I'm going to call them soon."
While Phillips said he plans on giving each of those two schools a fair shot just like everyone else, he does not yet know much about the Wildcats or Commodores.
"I don't really know too much, no," he said. "I just want to learn more about each program. But right now I don't know much. I know my coach sent film out and I guess they liked it."
Phillips also holds offers from UConn, Duke, Pitt and Syracuse. He said he would not be surprised if he receives an offer from Oregon in the near future, as the Ducks are showing him a lot of attention.
"I've still got junior days coming up at UConn and Syracuse," he explained. "Oregon invited me out to something they have on May 2. I haven't thought about spring games. Right now I'm just thinking about junior days."
Phillips also said he does not yet have a favorite.
