Size and Speed: Collie is 6-foot-1 and 180-pounds. He was timed at 4.58 seconds in the 40-yard dash prior to his junior season.
Position: Wide Receiver
Statistics: As a junior, Collie hauled in 56 passes for 857 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Honors: Collie was named first-team all-league and first-team All-Sacramento following his junior campaign.
Schools: The entire Pac-10 with the exception of Oregon and Oregon State have been in contact with Collie to date. Also sending mail to the Collie home are Nebraska, Texas A&M, Illinois and Wisconsin.
Camps:Collie plans to attend the Nike camp at Palo Alto, the Nike camp at Oregon, the University of Washington and Brigham Young University's camps this summer.
Skinny: Collie's father, Scott, played collegiately at Brigham Young prior to a short stint in the NFL and a few seasons in Canada. Collie's older brother, Zachary, is currently on the BYU squad and will return to the team this season after serving on a mission the past two years.
"A lot of people think he's going to BYU because I played there and his brother is there," Scott Collie said. "But, Austin's desire is not necessarily to play where his brother is. He is open to this process."
The list of schools showing interest in Collie will more than likely continue to grow as a senior season of play gets under his belt.
"He caught 56 passes last season, while his teammate caught 59. They throw the ball a lot."
His talents aren't limited to just his wide receiver skills. The return duties are also in his hands for his high school squad.
As a junior, Collie averaged a school record 22 yards per punt return. That included four returns for touchdowns.
Collie, who carries a 4.0 GPA, hopes to someday be an Anesthesiologist.
"Something along the medical field is what he has his mind set on."
