WR Nolen setting up visits

Hampton, Va. wide receiver Todd Nolen finally had the breakout game he had been hoping for in 2004 last Friday night. An all-state selection as a junior after posting 27 receptions for 728 yards and 11 touchdowns, Nolen led his team to a 44-3 victory over Kecoughtan.
“I played really well last week. We’ve playing very well as a team so far this season,” explained Nolen. “I had I believe eight catches for over 200 yards and four touchdowns. It was a big night for me.”

Hampton and Nolen are off to a 5-0 start this season. On the year, Nolen has 19 receptions for over 500 yards and seven touchdowns.
In regards to his recruitment, Nolen currently stands at five offers. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Syracuse, and North Carolina have offered and are all still in the running for Nolen’s services.
“I like Nebraska and Virginia a lot, but I’m still looking at everyone,” stated Nolen. “I’m going to take official visits to both of those schools in December, but I’m not sure if and when I’ll visit any other ones right now.”
Nolen admitted he does not know as much about Syracuse and North Carolina right now since he’s never been to either campus, but he does like the coaching staffs. In regards to the Cornhuskers and the two ins-ate schools, Nolen shared these comments.
“I really like Coach Callahan at Nebraska and the west coast offense they now run there,” said Nolen. “I like the two in-state schools a lot because they both show that they really need me in their offense. I like both offenses that they run right now. Those three schools are recruiting me the hardest.”
Nolen will take the SAT’s for the first time the first weekend in November and doesn’t plan to take any visits until sometime after that date. Nolen is in no hurry to make a decision anytime soon.
