WR McDaniel sets second official

Rivals 250 receiver Damon McDaniel has scheduled his second official visit. Who will the 6-foot-0, 192-pounder be visiting and what is he hoping to see?
"I've set up an official with LSU on September 23th," he said. "Basically LSU has already been on my list of top colleges and I want to go and see the atmosphere myself. The coaches are really nice people, but I really haven't been able to talk to them that much. That's why I want to get down there.

"The success of the football program there and the new coaches and staff has drawn me to them. I want to see how the season goes for them and my visits will help decide where I'm looking at actually going to. I know they like to throw the ball a lot and that's an important factor too in my decision."
That weekend the Tigers will play host to Tennessee.
"I'm going to be just looking for the overall experience there," he said. "I want to get on the field and see how the game is there. That's going to be a really good game and that's basically why I want to go."
McDaniel has scheduled his other visit with Florida on September 16th. Who else is he considering for the other three visits?
"I think Miami will probably be one of my visits and Oklahoma too," he said. "I'm leaving the fifth one open right now. I'm still working on it."
There have been rumblings that Virginia Tech may see an official visit from McDaniel on December 10th. Is there any validity to the rumors?
"We've been talking about a visit there, but that's just something we're thinking about now."
McDaniel was named first team all-district and first team all-tidewater after accounting for over 1,300 yards and 21 touchdowns. McDaniel is the No. 4 prospect in Virginia.
