WR Lewis continues to draw attention

Gurnee (Ill.) Warren Township junior wide receiver prospect Marcus Lewis (6-foot-2, 203 pounds) has continued to draw steady recruiting interest this spring, especially after his performance at the Michigan Nike Camp a few weeks back.
"Things have seemed to really pick up for me after the Nike Camp," Lewis said. "I've received calls from a few schools and we are starting to draw more and more coaches into school over the last few weeks. Several coaches said that I performed pretty well at Nike Camp, and that's great to hear no question."

Lewis, who's a three sport athlete at Warren Township (football/basketball/track) talked about his recent calls from college coaches.
"I've gotten calls so far from Michigan State, Illinois and Northern Illinois. I've had some good conversations with the coaches from each of those schools. It gives you a chance to get to know them better, plus it also allows you a chance to ask them questions about each school and each program. The schools that called all seem interested, and they all want me to camp with them this summer."
Lewis and his Blue Devil teammates have continued to keep head coach Dave Mohapp busy with in school visitors during the May evaluation period.
"We have had a lot of coaches in school. My head coach (Dave Mohapp) is in a different building than we are, but he's been filling us all in on who's been visiting us recently. Minnesota, Akron, Toledo, UCLA, Tennessee, Iowa State and Michigan State have all made in school visits recently."
Lewis is also looking forward to a busy summer schedule.
"We have quite a few things as a team this summer, and that takes priority over the college camps. I'm going to try to get to one day camps at Illinois, NIU and Northwestern this summer. If I can fit it in I might hit a few more one day camps."
