WR James impressed with Irish

Chicago (Ill.) junior wide receiver prospect Chris James (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) from Morgan Park High School was one of several Illinois based prospects in attendance at Sunday's University of Notre Dame junior day.
"My junior day visit to Notre Dame was really good," James said. "I was able to meet a lot of Illinois prospects at the Notre Dame junior day, and I really liked everything about my junior day visit to Notre Dame."
James, who has an offer from Illinois, talked about what stood out to him on Sunday in South Bend.
"The first thing that stood out to me was Coach (Charlie) Weis had on one of his Super Bowl rings, and that was one huge ring. It looked like nit was about the same size of a Ring Pop. It was really cool to see one of those rings up close and in person. The campus and the tours was great, and it was just about what I pictured Notre Dame to look like."
"I was also really excited about the planned renovations at Notre Dame, and they will have some great facilities when they have finished the renovations. I also got along really well with the coaches at Notre Dame. I talked mostly with Coach (Rob) Ianello who's my recruiting coach at Notre Dame. He's really laid back and a cool kind of guy. We had a nice long talk and he's the type of coach I could see myself playing for someday. Notre Dame overall was a lot of fun."
