WR James has three early favorites

Chicago (Ill.) junior wide receiver prospect Chris James (6-foot-0, 177 pounds) from Morgan Park High School spent last weekend at the University of Illinois spring game.
"I was in Champaign last Saturday for the Illinois spring game and a combine after wards," James said. "So far this week we've have had a ton of coaches making in school visits. Illinois, Kansas, Indiana and Northwestern are just a few of the coaches that have been in and I'm sure I'm missing some more."

James, who has early scholarship offers from Louisville, Toledo, Minnesota, Illinois, Kansas and Northern Illinois, talked about his Illini spring game experience.
"I really enjoyed watching the spring game at Illinois. You can really see how the coaching staff has started to take effect on the team since the start of spring ball. I saw several players at different positions in the spring game, plus I also saw the team looking much better and sharper last Saturday. This Illinois team has gotten so much better this spring, and I give the new coaches a lot of credit. I also had a chance to talk to some of the players, and they seem really excited about where things are heading."
James also talked about a new school that is starting to climb his recruiting chart.
"Minnesota has really come on lately, and I like the offense at Minnesota because it uses a lot of play action passing, just like our offense at Morgan Park. I have no problem blocking and then having a chance to break a big pass off of play action. I'm most likely going to take an unofficial visit to Minnesota and see what they have to offer."
James also has named his early favorites.
"My early top three schools would include Illinois, Minnesota and Northern Illinois. I'm really looking hard at those three schools right now."
