WR James drawing new suitors

Chicago (Ill.) junior wide receiver prospect Chris James (6-foot-1, 185 pounds) from Morgan Park High School returned from his spring break last week to find plenty of mail awaiting him at school.

"It's a great feeling to be able to pick up your mail at school and have it all wrapped around a rubber band," James said. "It's definitely cool to have so many letters the postman needs to rubber band it together."

James, who has an offer from Illinois, fills us in on his latest suitors.

"I've started to receive hand-written mail from Tennessee, Minnesota and Arizona this week. I'm still getting plenty of mail from Illinois as well as mail from several Big Ten conference schools. Several of the coaches have said that they will be making stops into school during the May evaluation period."

James is also hoping to hit the college spring practice road soon.

"I really want to head out and see as many spring practices and spring games as possible. I'm hoping to check out Illinois, Iowa and Notre Dame plus hopefully several more schools. My goal is to get out to as many schools as I can this spring."
