WR Jackson talks upcoming officials

Rivals250 wide receiver Richard Jackson out of Clermont (Fla.) East Ridge is taking two more official visits over the next two weekends to Georgia Tech and Notre Dame. What is the 6-foot-2, 195-pounder thinking heading into his visits to South Bend and Atlanta?
"I'm hoping to see both of those teams throw the ball a lot," he said. "I also want to see the campus and get an idea of the atmosphere from the schools. I'm hoping to see how both of the coaching staffs are in person. Being on the phone is completely different than in person and I want to see how they react to me."

What stands out to the four-star prospect about both schools?
"At Georgia Tech, I like Calvin Johnson and the fact they throw the ball. I also like to talk to coach Brian Jean-Mary, he's a real good person and from my area as well. I've developed a relationship with him," he said. "I like that Notre Dame has that tradition and this year they've thrown the ball a lot. I also like that their team has done well and they started off not ranked and are now No. 13 in the country."
Two other schools Jackson is considering for his services are Pittsburgh and Miami.
"I like that Miami has a great program and great athletes in every position, it's not just a few here and there," he said. "Meanwhile, Pittsburgh has been good the last few years throwing the ball and producing receivers. As for their struggles, I wouldn't say the losing this year completely turns me off, but it does make me wonder how they'll be next year."
The No. 10 wide receiver in the country still has not scheduled an official visit with Miami.
"I was supposed to go there a couple weeks back and then last weekend and it just hasn't worked out," he said. "Now I'm looking to go there sometime in November. I don't know the exact date yet.
"I think I also might want to take a fifth official to South Carolina, Louisville, Auburn, North Carolina State or Tennessee. I'll take that if I don't quite feel right on my other officials."
Currently, Jackson has no favorites at this point in time.
