WR Hill favors UVA, Akron

Wide receiver Vincent Hill out of Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly holds three scholarship offers from Akron, Temple and Connecticut. The 5-foot-10, 167-pounder went to the Elite College Combine on May 1st to improve his stock with scouts.
"It was a good experience," he said. "My coach told me that I did excellent there and some of the coaches talked to him and said they were very impressed. I was happy with my 4.47-second 40-time and how I did in the one-on-one drills. Everyone there was a top notch guy and I hooked up with Joe Haden and had an incredible up top catch on a fly pattern. I recall a lot of people there being pretty amazed with that play. I also felt very good about my route running."

Hill felt his performance may help spur a few more schools into offering.
"Penn State, Virginia, Illinois, Louisville and Maryland have all talked to my coach and it looks like those schools could be offering soon," he said. "Currently my favorites would be Akron and Virginia.
"I like them because most of their wide receivers will be leaving once I get there, giving me an opportunity to play earlier. They also have nice academics and facilities. I am very fond of the coaches at both schools too. They are down-to-earth and straight forward."
The Maryland prospect plans to make a summer tour of camps through Akron, Connecticut and Virginia in June.
Last season Hill earned second team all-state after hauling in 42 receptions for 879 yards and 11 touchdowns.
