WR Heading North
Shawn Tucker of Parkland (Fla.) Stoneman Douglas has given head coach Greg Schiano of Rutgers a verbal commitment. Rivals has Shawn ranked in the top 50 wide receivers in the country.
"I am very happy with my decision," said Tucker. "I was leaning towards Rutgers all along. I feel that they are building something there and I wanted to be part of it."

Last week Shawn decided to cancel his Jan. 11 visit to North Carolina State. He knew at the time that Rutgers was where he wanted to be.
"I had offers from North Carolina State, Ohio State, Syracuse and South Florida. I just felt very comfortable with the Rutgers staff and I really feel that I can contribute there. I'm glad this is over with and I look forward to playing for coach Schiano and the Rutgers staff."
This past season, Shawn had 39 receptions for more then 700 yards and nine touchdowns. For his accomplishments he was named to the Florida 6A all state team.
