A top receiver in New Jersey has his top five list and looks like he might be sticking to it until he makes his final decision.
James “Jim-Jim” Townsend from Delran (N.J.) Holy Cross is considered by many to be one of the top players in the state and he has the offers to back it up. At 6-foot-1 and 180 pounds James has more than a dozen offers, but has a clear-cut top five for now.
"My favorites are Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Wisconsin and Iowa. It looks like they will be the five schools that I will visit officially. I have offers from all of them."
Last season, Townsend had 1,050 receiving yards to go along with his 10 touchdowns. He was an all-county, all-parochial selection and second-team all South Jersey. His numbers are even more impressive when you realize that Virginia signee Wali Lundy was the main focus of the Holy Cross offense last season. For now, Townsend is focusing on one thing.
"I'm getting ready for the season. It's very important to me and the team to win a state championship."
