Junior To Watch: Jacqua Pinkard
School: Washington (D.C.) Ballou

Position: Wide receiver
Size and speed: Pinkard is 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds.
Statistics: Pinkard had 15 catches as a junior.
Favorite schools: Virginia, Maryland, Notre Dame, Nebraska, Syracuse and Boston College
Skinny: While Pinkard has good pass catching skills, what sets him apart from other receivers at this level is his blocking ability. He's a physical wideout who makes everyone on the field better.
"Everyone is asking about Jacqua," said Ballou coach Noel Cyrus. "He only had about 15 catches last year but he did a lot of blocking for us. He's a very solid blocker, and he was our best blocking receiver this year.
"He has good speed, but he doesn't run track like (teammate) Andre (Tillman). His biggest thing is that he's very tough and strong, and has the frame to continue to grow and get stronger. He's hearing from all the schools around here but hasn't taken visits yet.
"Our quarterback that was a freshman last year will be more experienced this year and has really spent a lot of time studying film. He'll be improved, so we'll work Pinkard into the passing game more."
