WR Down To Two Teams

One of Virginia's top wideouts could be down to just two lucky schools.
"I'm taking my official visit to Virginia on Sept. 6 for their game against South Carolina," said Richmond (Va.) Hermitage wide receiver Fontel Mines. "I was just down there for a practice a few days ago and really got a good feel for them. Now I want to see it on a game weekend."

Mines, who has offers from Virginia and Virginia Tech and expects to choose between the two by late September, will visit the Hokies later in the month.
"I'm not sure when, but I want to see both places on official visits," he said. "If another school comes in and offers me in early September I might give them a look as well, but right now these are my two."
And who leads?
"Virginia has the slight edge because I like the offense better," he said. "They throw the ball and like to utilize big receivers. But I won't know for sure until I visit both places."
Mines is also being recruited by Clemson, Michigan, Florida and has an offer from Wake Forest.
