WR commit Alex Marshall "locked in" with Western Kentucky

Alex Marshall ()

The Latest: Western Kentucky has made the state of Florida a priority on the recruiting trail and the efforts of the Hilltoppers staff led to the commitment of prospect Alex Marshall last month. Rivals.com caught up with Marshall to break down his decision as well as how he thinks he will fit in at WKU.

In His Words: "I was up on campus on a visit and decided to commit just because everything felt right. They just showed me their whole offensive scheme and just how they will fit me in the offense and how they will help me grow as more of a NFL type wide receiver so I’m really excited for that. They had seven people go to the NFL this past year. That’s just a bonus to the beautiful campus and the academics they offer. But I’m very interested in their track record of producing talent. A few other schools have been calling but I'm locked with WKU."

Rivals Reaction: The Hilltoppers have done a nice job with not only developing talent but finding it during the recruiting process as well. Since he committed Marshall has already drawn interest from schools like Florida that would like to get him on campus for an audition. But like he said, he's locked in and that's not expected to change anytime soon.
