WR Chooses Date For Commitment

Jackson (S.C.) Silver Bluff wide receiver Troy Williamson just returned from his trip to Georgia. So has he ended the recruiting process?
"Pretty much so," said the 6-foot-2, 200-pound speedster who will also run track in college. "I liked my trip to Georgia and got to hang out with some cool people and players, but I'm ready to end it."

Does that mean what we think it means?
"Yes," he said. "I'm going to commit to South Carolina on Wednesday. I have to talk to my coach to see if we're going to do a press conference or anything like that. Coach Fitch comes in tomorrow to talk with me and I'll tell him the same thing. South Carolina has everything I want."
Williamson notes the track program, proximity to home and his comfort level in Columbia.
"I've played there and been there so many times," he said. "It feels like home."
Williamson will cancel his trip to Tennessee set for Jan. 25. He's visiting USC on Jan. 18.
