WR Baldwin is gaining interest
Southern Pines (N.C.) Pinecrest wide receiver James Baldwin claims a verbal offer at this time. The 6-foot-3, 183-pounder is getting plenty of interest from a number of other colleges.
"Since the combine in Texas (U.S. Army), things have been going pretty well," he said. "I have one offer, a verbal from East Carolina.

"I'm getting a lot of mail from North Carolina, West Virginia, Auburn, Tennessee, Michigan, Florida, Miami, NC State and South Carolina."
Does Baldwin like anyone at this early stage?
"I'm not a fan of anyone," he said. "I've only been to one game at NC State. It was nice. It's a big school.
"I am taking another visit this weekend to East Carolina and then next weekend on the 28th I'm going to North Carolina."
The Carolina receiver is clearly very open at this time and discussed what he's looking for in a school.
"I would like a good education and somewhere that'll keep my grades up," he said. "I want a good offensive school that throws the ball a lot. I would love to stay close by too, but my parents have told me to go far away they'll always be by me."
As a junior, Baldwin had a solid season in which he hauled in 22 receptions for 242-yards and five touchdowns on his way to all-conference honors.
