Worthingtons offers soaring

Defensive end Doug Worthington made 74 tackles including seven sacks during his junior season at Athol Springs (N.Y.) Saint Francis. Worthington also had 12 quarterback pressures as he was named all-catholic, all-conference, all-Western New York, and conference defensive player of the year.
The 6-foot-7 and 256 pound Worthington is one of the country's top defensive end prospects.

"A lot of schools are recruiting me," Worthington said. "I have 15 or 16 offers."
"LSU, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Syracuse, Penn State, Ohio State, Buffalo, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pitt have offered."
"It's really hard to say who I like best. I like Penn State. They're close. I like Tennessee. Ohio State does a lot of good things with their players. Alabama is great. I like Virginia Tech, and Maryland and Pitt."
"The depth chart, playing time, and graduation rate will be big things to me."
