Word is out about Florida sleeper

The word is out about sleeper jumbo athlete Toshmon Stevens of Crescent City (Fla.) High as several Division I-A programs have jumped in the mix for his services and more schools are showing high interest.
"I've got offers from North Carolina State, South Carolina, Purdue, Mississippi State, South Florida, Central Florida and I think that's it for right now," Stevens said. "Clemson is recruiting me and so is Florida State. I have high interest in both of those schools."

The 6-foot-6, 225-pounder, who has been timed as fast as 4.56 seconds in the 40-yard dash, knows of one visit he will definitely take.
"I know I am going to go out and see North Carolina State because they were the first school to offer me," Stevens said. "They would be at the top of my list right now. Other than that, I am going to just wait and see how things play out.
"I also know about South Carolina because of their coach (Steve Spurrier) and where he used to coach. They also have a good Criminology department and that's what I want to major in."
Stevens also is getting interest from LSU and Division I-AA Florida A&M.
Stevens worked out at tight end at the NIKE Camp Sunday in Tallahassee, Fla., and showed good athleticism and hands during portions of the camp.
He talked about the benefits of attending the camp.
"It was great," he said. "I learned a lot of things at the camp that will help me on and off the field. I really liked the one-on-ones and the way they broke everything down into details. They teach you how to work things out at the next level."
