Wooten plans to decide soon

Hialeah (Fla.) linebacker Gary Wooten was scheduled to visit Florida International this past weekend, but plans changed and prevented him from doing so.
While the 6-foot-2, 190-pound linebacker is still hoping to make his way to the nearby campus, he may make a decision before ever taking his official visit.

"I am fixing to commit there," Wooten said. "I plan to do it at some point this week."
The three-star linebacker has previously visited Eastern Michigan and also has considered official visits to Massachusetts and Vanderbilt. He holds offers from FIU, FAU, New Mexico, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Bowling Green, Washington State, UMass, and Vanderbilt.
Even though he hasn't been on campus for an official visit, Wooten has previously made his way to the nearby school to see what Mario Cristobal's football program is all about.
"I have been there," Wooten said. "It is alright."
Previously, Wooten cited an opportunity for early playing time as the major factor in helping him to decide which school is right for him.
Academically, Wooten is awaiting test score results after taking the SAT this past weekend.
