Woodstock LB stock on the rise

Woodstock, Ga. was the laughing stock of Georgia High school football just three years ago. Now thanks to guys like linebacker Danny Carmichael not only can Woodstock win some games, but they've already locked up a playoff spot and are poised to go deep in the playoffs with a 6-1 record.
"I don't have any new offers yet, but things are really starting to pick up," Carmichael said. "I am getting calls from Miami-Ohio, Southern Miss, Clemson, Auburn and Alabama and I have offers already from Middle Tennessee State and North Carolina. Tennessee has also been calling me and they are getting real serious about me."

The 6-foot-, 230-pound Carmichael attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.62 seconds, the shuttle in 4.37 seconds and posted a 30-inch vertical jump.
"I went up to the Tennessee-Georgia game this weekend and they treated me real well," Carmichael said. "I was there as a gold star recruit which is the highest level you can be. All of the coaches took some time with me and talked to me a while and stuff. They said they are keeping an eye on me and that they are real interested."
As a junior he collected 87 solo tackles, 25 assists, five tackles for loss, three interceptions and recovered two fumbles.
"North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia and Auburn are my top schools right now," Carmichael said. "I had a real good time at Tennessee and I want to visit some more schools and get a feel for it and how the atmosphere is in different places and stuff."
So far this season through seven games Carmichael has collected 66 tackles, six sacks, eight tackles for loss, he has forced four fumbles and picked off one pass.
