Woods quickly weighing options

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Jay Woods is open to all offers. He's not interested in narrowing his list at this point. Still, the Pinson (Ala.) Valley High School defensive back says not all of his 11 offers were created equal. He's forming opinions.
"I haven't decided yet, but I have a real strong interesting Army and Cincinnati," Woods said. "I like the coaches at Cincy. I like Coach Tommy Tuberville. He's a real nice man. The defensive coaches, too."

The, there's a newcomer to his recruitment. Pittsburgh offered the 5-foot-11 Woods on Saturday morning. And while he says the Panthers will likely be a player going forward, he's in the process of familiarizing himself with the program.
"I don't know much about them," Woods said of Pitt. "I guess I know that Larry Fitzgerald played there, but that's all I know for right now. I guess I only know a little."
Woods is set to play a little wide receiver for his highs school team this year, but is exclusively being recruited at his primary position of cornerback. And while he shies away from naming a frontrunner and plans to make a visit or two before he makes a decision, Woods doesn't intend to drag out his impending choice.
Instead, this could end quickly.
"I'm actually going to try to commit before the season," Woods said. "I'm going to get it over with."
