Woods has two top teams

A few leading teams are beginning to surface for Houston (Texas) Lamar dual-threat quarterback Demetrius Woods.
So far, scholarship offers have come in from Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Utah, and UTEP. Woods says one team leads and another is right there in a close second.

"Miami is still on top," Woods said. "I just like their athletic program down there. They didn't say much to me about an offer the last time I spoke with them. I just still get a lot of letters, but no offer yet."
Woods also says that TCU, who hasn't offered yet, is a team that he's looking at pretty hard.
"I really don't know much about them, but I know a player that went there, so there is a connection there," Woods said. "I saw my friend play several years back, so I'm pretty high on them. Both Miami and TCU talk to me about visiting, but I'm still waiting to hear about an offer."
The 6-foot, 170-pound Woods says he'll most likely wait until after the season to make his commitment.
"I haven't talked to anyone about official visits yet," he said. "I'm taking my time and I'm going to wait a while."
