Wooden returns from Notre Dame

Baltimore (Md.) Gilman safety Ambrose Wooden took in Banquet Weekend at Notre Dame and came away like everyone else -- impressed.
"It was a good visit, I had a good time," said the 6-foot-1, 190-pounder. "I was hosted by Omar Jenkins and all the recruits got along very well. The atmosphere was cool."

Wooden is being recruited as a wide receiver by the Irish while others see him as a safety, cornerback or even a quarterback.
"I just want to play," he said. "I don't really have a preference."
Wooden has now visited Boston College and Notre Dame and has two more trips scheduled.
"I go to Maryland in a couple weekends (Dec. 20)," he said. "Then I have Stanford on Jan. 10 and I don't know if I'll take a fifth or not."
If Wooden takes a fifth trip, it will be to UCLA, Southern Cal, Penn State or Virginia Tech. Does he have a leader?
"Nope," he said. "No leader. I liked BC and Notre Dame a lot and I have a good feel for both of them. My mom took a lot of notes at both places which will help. I just want to take some trips and see what's best for me."
