Woodard ready for more schools

Demetric Woodard had a nice showing last weekend at the 4th Quarter Sports Elite 7on7 Tournament at Los Angeles Salesian and that kind of exposure can only help his recruitment.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly already lists offers from Arizona State and Houston but he's hoping for more looks this off-season and 7on7 tournaments are a big way to help him.

"I'm just trying to get better, faster and stronger," Woodard said. "I'm also trying to get better mentally as well.
"It's going to be a great opportunity doing all this 7on7 stuff to get more exposure. Going into my senior season, I'm going to be more knowledgeable of the game and it's going to be a whole lot better than last year. It's going to help me a lot with my recruiting and everything else."
So far, two offers are already in and Woodard said a lot of other programs have reached out to show interest.
Woodard said Boise State, Texas A&M, Oregon, SMU, Stanford, Army and a few others have gotten involved and that some unofficial visits are being planned.
No trips have been finalized yet but Woodard said he could visit Stanford soon and others are being scheduled through this off-season.
With two offers and a whole lot of interest, Woodard said it's still too early to name any frontrunners.
He's going to compete a lot this off-season, take some trips and then the Long Beach Poly standout could have some leaders heading into his senior season.
"Over the next couple months I'm planning to take a lot of visits," Woodard said.
"It's a little too early to tell on favorites. All the schools I've been to so far, I've liked them all. I'm sure I'll like them all."
