Womble sets first official visit

Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena running back Jamal Womble has been very pro-active this past Spring hitting the camp and combine schedule hard in order to get his name out there. It has worked as Womble has established himself as one of the top backs in the region and just set his first official visit in the fall.
Womble, 5-11, 220 pounds attended NIKE Camps at Purdue and Stanford and was rated among the top three backs in the camp at both events. He's a power back with very good size but what has stood out has been Womble's burst, overall quickness and lateral mobility.

It seems a new offer rolls in for Womble almost daily with Utah and South Florida being the two most recent. Georgia Tech, Boston College, Nebraska, Arizona State, Oregon State, Louisville, Purdue, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Purdue are just a few others who have also offered.
"I just set up my first official visit to Nebraska for the weekend of the USC game on (Sept. 15)," Womble said. "Me and Jake (Muasau) are both coming up that weekend and I'm really looking forward to it.
"That's the only official visit I've set up so far but I'm planning on taking several unofficial visits this summer. I don't have the dates yet but I know I'm going to visit North Carolina, North Carolina State, Duke and South Carolina. At this point, I'm wide open to all the schools that have offered me. No one leads and I couldn't even name a top five or seven right now.
"My plan is take all my official visits and then make my decision later in the process. I don't know enough about these schools to have favorites yet but after my visits, I'll have enough information to make a well thought out choice."
