Womble has four visits lined up

Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena running back Jamal Womble established himself as one of the top backs in the West after a great spring and summer. He's the top power back in the region and recent returned home from a trip back east where he visited three schools on his list.
Womble, 5-11, 220 pounds attended NIKE Camps at Purdue and Stanford and was rated among the top three backs in the camp at both events. He's a power back with very good size but what stood out was Womble's burst, overall quickness and lateral mobility.

The athlete checked out the campuses at Wake Forest, North Carolina and South Carolina and said he really enjoyed his time at all three places.
"Wake Forest was great, but South Carolina and North Carolina really stood out to me," Womble said. "After that South Carolina visit, I thought that might be the place for me. Everything about the visit was incredible.
"I loved the school, the campus and the coaching staff. I got along great with Coach Spurrier and I think I would fit in very well with that offense. The coaches told me I would be the only running back they would take if I committed and I just had a great vibe about the place when I left.
"Then I went to North Carolina and was just as impressed. I didn't think that was possible but the two trips were equally as nice. North Carolina has a beautiful campus in a great area. Coach Davis is going to do great things there and I think it would be fun to be a part of a rebuilding program.
"North Carolina offered me shortly after my visit and I'm going to take an official visit there (Oct. 6) when they play Miami. I also have visits set with Nebraska (Sept. 14), Wisconsin (Nov. 10) and South Carolina (Nov. 24).
I'm going to take all five trips for sure but I'm keeping that last one open right now. I want to see if any new schools jump in the picture once the season starts so that last visit is just on hold right now. I don't have a leader right now, everyone is open until I take my trips and then I'll commit sometime in December most likely."
