Wolridge looking to make defensive move

Lexington, Texas junior linebacker Andrew Wolridge jumped out early with his first scholarship offer from Baylor. Now, he's waiting on the second to show up.
Wolridge, the 6-foot-2, 237-pounder who plays defensive tackle at Lexington, says that he recently took in the Texas A&M junior day. He thought an offer might come, but is being patient as he waits for another offer to come through the mail.

"Texas A&M, they told me that they'd probably have to wait until summer camp to see me at linebacker," Wolridge said. "They said there is no doubt that I can play defensive tackle, but they don't think I can do that at the Division I level."
Wolrdige is also receiving a lot of interest from TCU, Nebraska, LSU, and Kansas State. Oklahoma State has also given him an invite to their junior day. Texas is a school that he's also very interested in.
"I'm going to try and get to the UT junior day this weekend," Wolrdige said. "I may try and go to the Oklahoma State junior day out of state since they're really recruiting me. I'm still waiting to hear about LSU's junior day so I can go to that."
The talented Texas defender says he feels things should pick up after Signing Day for the 2007 class.
"It's more just interest and communication right now and not so much offers yet," he said. "I know a lot of people are trying to wrap up their 2007 class. There could be a lot of things in the works for me though."
